What does the Booster Club do?

The Nathan Hale Athletic Booster Club exists to promote and support all athletic organizations (including cheerleading and Poms) at Hale.  This involves communications, awards, and fund raising.  Outside of membership, the Booster Club raises funds through:

The funds raised are all turned back to the teams and facilities. The Booster Club's by-laws guarantee $5/athlete to each team. This money goes right into the team’s account. If the athlete’s parent/guardian is a Booster Club member, that amount is doubled to $10. At the end of each year, the Booster Club looks at the funds raised and determines if it can raise the per athlete amount for Booster Club members. In 2006, the Booster Club added $20 for each athlete whose parent/guardian was a Booster Club member. So for non-members, the team got $5/athlete. For members, the team got $30/athlete. For large and small squads alike, that can really add up. This happens for an annual membership fee of $20 per family and is good for as many student-athletes that the family has at Hale.

In addition to the direct money to the teams, Booster Club membership allows a family to purchase a home event pass for another $30. This pass allows any immediate family member living at home to attend all Hale home events (all sports for the entire school year, except for WIAA playoffs) without paying an entry fee. It is also honored at Central for Hale/Central events.

In addition to direct team dispersals, the funds raised by the Booster Club support the athletes through the following annual expenditures:
