Sweet Potato Vine (Morning Glory)

Height: 15 inches to 15 feet

Spread: 12-15 inches

Spacing: 12-18 inches

Position: Full sun

Soil: Light, well-drained soil of poor to average fertility

 

These plants must twine around objects in order to climb them.  Wide fence posts, walls or other broad objects must have a trellis, some wire or twine attached to provide the vines something to grow on.

These vines can be grown anywhere: fences, walls, trees, trellises and arbors are all possible supports.  As groundcovers, these vines will grow over any obstacles they encounter.  They can also be grown in hanging baskets.
