- These plants must twine around objects in order to climb them. Wide
fence posts, walls or other broad objects must have a trellis, some wire or
twine attached to provide the vines something to grow on.
These vines can be grown anywhere: fences, walls, trees, trellises and arbors
are all possible supports. As groundcovers, these vines will grow over any
obstacles they encounter. They can also be grown in hanging baskets.
